I just happened to be near a Michael's Craft Store this weekend, and thought I would check out the new Martha Stewart craft line. It was a little overwhelming and I can see the store being called Martha's instead of Michael's in the near future. I figured there would be a few things, but wasn't expecting four aisles worth. Everything was exactly what you would expect from MS. The packaging, the design, the color coordination were all first class. The prices were reasonable and I wanted to buy everything in site, whether I would use it or not.
This was a marriage made in heaven, because Michael's is the only really big craft store chain in Southern California, and Martha's followers are always wanting to buy the products she uses on her television show and her soon to launch Craft Website. Her line includes everything you could imagine for the DIY: ribbons, stickers, gigantic photo albums, paints, kits of all kinds, and the prettiest paper for scrap booking. I hope that this doesn't put some of the smaller shops out of business, because I can see people really preferring these products.
I am sure that they will eventually sell these on line, but in the meantime, only Michael's will carry them.
Who would have thought a little jail time would make her this ambitious? Pretty soon Martha will be wealthier than Oprah.
I've heard about this line and I have resisted going to Micheal's. I have no will power when it comes to supplies like this... I'll buy them all :)

WOW! I am such a craft supply addict - that looks very dangerous!! I wonder how long I'll be able to stay away from Michael's before I finally give in, go there, and buy tons of stuff I don't need! LOL!
