This has been a miserable year for Hollywood. I am not thrilled when I spend ten dollars and precious time to watch pathetic movies that cause me to actually feel my brain cells rotting. I have broken my rule of never stepping into a movie theater before August, and have really regretted it this year.
I just hope that Quintin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds Is an indication of better times ahead. Nothing like a humorous and wishful rendition of Nazi Germany, starring Brad Pitt, to equal an enjoyable two + hours in a cool movie theater, while all of Los Angeles is burning around you. It was bit gory, and I must admit I closed my eyes a few times, but the acting, story and clever writing all but made up for it. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time. Plus, Brad Pitt is as cute as ever.
